Good Morning! I hope you all enjoyed your long weekend. It sounds like everyone had lots of fun this weekend. Here are a few things to know for this week:

Odds and Ends:
Eagle Cards: The next turn in date is TOMORROW! Please keep selling those Eagle Cards! Prize tables will be on Friday.
#forwaynecounty: We are collecting cans to help fight food insecurity in our county! Our goal is to fill 10 reusable shopping bags (that are in my room) by next Thursday. Our class gets lerch’s donuts if they meet the goal! Encourage your students to may spend some of their money to help kids in Wayne County. Let me know if you have any questions, or check out the Grace Church facebook page for more information!
Remind 101:If you have not signed up for Remind yet please do so! Just go to this website and click on this link (https://www.remind.com/join/4437k) and enter your phone number. This makes it easy for me to quickly communicate any reminders that are important or anything I might have forgotten to mention in class that day. Most everyone has signed up!
Kids Time and Transportation Changes: Please make sure to tell your kids what they are doing after school each day. This helps our end of the day routine immensely. If there are any changes during the day, feel free to email me or contact the office.
Take Home Folder: Each night your child will be bringing home their Take Home folder. Please check this nightly for any homework and make sure it gets sent back the next day.
Homework Logs: This week we have added a homework log to our take home folders. One side will have our nightly homework (tests, quizzes, worksheets, etc) Please initial this side each night. The other side will have a space for math and reading. Students are required to do 10 minutes of XtraMath 5 times a week and 15 minutes of reading (any book) 5 times a week. I do not average times together so students must do each subject 5 different days.
Box Tops: Start sending in those Box Tops! Our first turn in date is in October.
No School: We do not have school next Monday due to it being Fair Day! We will also have a delayed start on Tuesday. School does not start until 11:00.
I think that is it for this week! As always, feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
